MJH December Student of the Month: Grace Matocha

Since her arrival, Grace has come to be seen as an exemplar of the values we work to instill in every student at MJH. While earning straight-As in all advanced level core classes and her electives is impressive, it is the unfailingly positive attitude Grace brings to bear on all she does that has won her the admiration of peers and teachers alike. Grace’s notoriety is a function of her participation in a wide variety of activities and organizations on campus. As a cheerleader, National Junior Honor Society member, writer for the Yearbook, and member of the PALs program, Grace is afforded the opportunity to spread her genuine optimism with students throughout our school.

Grace is a product of MISD, having attended Nichols Sawmill Elementary and Magnolia 6th before arriving at MJH. As she nears the end of junior high, Grace has her sights firmly fixed on the goals she hopes to achieve at Magnolia West and beyond. Ultimately, Grace is determined to graduate in the top seven percent of her class and would like to attend either Stanford or UT, on her way to eventually becoming a physical therapist. If her academic success and strength of character is any indication, Grace is sure to accomplish whatever she decides to pursue.
